Meeka Wine Dinner with Silverstream
Following the success of our last wine dinner with Mazza Wines which was sold out,
please join us for another special evening this time from a wonderful winery called
Silverstream from Denmark.
In late 2004, Tony Ruse and his wife Felicity purchased the Silverstream property in Denmark. The property is located at the western end of the Bennet Ranges, enjoying both elevation and maritime influence. The vineyard is situated on either side of a valley, with the Chardonnay and Riesling sharing the north facing slope and the Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Franc on the south facing slope
Tony in 2009 adopted a biological farming process in place of conventional Viticulture. His viticultural techniques are now embracing natural inputs with excellent results in soil biology and diversity. They minimise the use of chemicals to enhance the natural processes producing healthy vines and quality fruit.
The wines will be matched with customised plates created by Head Chef and Owner Leah Clarke, Such as Coconut Prawns to start, Duck Breast with Cherries, Wood Fired Beef Cheeks and finishing with a special Meeka dessert.
Meeka will be pairing 4 courses plus dessert with 8 glasses of Silverstream's finest, including back vintages.
